IRS Minerals was founded in 2015 from the initiative of Engineer Dr. Ivan Rodrigues dos Santos, who began his first mineral exploration project in the Alto da Brancal region, in Itapeva, São Paulo, focusing on phyllite and quartzite.
From this initial milestone, the company expanded its activities, conducting mineral exploration in the following years in municipalities such as Itapeva, Ribeirão Branco, Piedade, and Apiaí. In 2020, IRS Minerals also entered the commercial and extraction market of leuco-phyllite, supplying the ceramic hub of the Rio Claro/SP region.
In 2023, due to the growing international interest — especially from Australian companies — in rare earth exploration in Brazil, IRS Minerals exercised its mining rights in the Poços de Caldas/MG region, a strategic area for this type of mineralization. Following the negotiation of these rights, new mineral exploration projects were initiated in several locations across the states of Minas Gerais, Goiás, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Paraná.
Currently, IRS Minerals holds 102 mining rights in Brazil and has projects with promising results for rare earth elements, with special emphasis on projects located in Itapeva/SP and Turvolândia/MG.
